had no good relation with one another. They were very fond of quarreling and
used to quarrel among themselves all the time. The old man was very worried
about them. He told them not to quarrel but they were not obedient to their
father. He tried to make them united. He wanted to teach them a good lesson.
One day he called his sons and told them to bring some sticks and a rope. They
brought some sticks and a rope. Then he tied he sticks with a rope. And his
told his sons to break the bundle of sticks. Every son tried to break the
bundle of sticks but they could not break it. At last his wife untied the
bundle of sticks. And she gave every son a stick. In this time they had been
able to break it easily. Then the old farmer said to his sons,” If you remain
untied like the sticks, nobody can harm you. And if you are divided, the enemy
can defeat you easily.”
